Take A Chance At Romance

The Ayden Chamber of Commerce will be holding a “Take A Chance At Romance” giveaway!

Take a chance at a romantic evening with your special someone!

Package includes a limo ride for you and your sweetie, a steak dinner for two and a dozen roses!

Price of tickets are $10 each; package valued at $365.

Drawing will take place on Thur, Feb the 9^th!

Annual Golf Tournament

The Ayden Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual golf tournament in Memory of Roy Petty on Tuesday, April the 24th at the Ayden Golf and Country Club. Tee time is set for 1:00 pm. This year will be a four man team super ball tournament, dinner will be served and there will be a hospitality beverage cart. For more information please contact the Chamber at 746-2266. Annual Membership Banquet

The Ayden Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Membership Banquet on Tuesday, March 20th at the Ayden Christian Church at 6:30. The Citizen of the Year, The Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year as well as the Highest Hero Award will be presented. The cost to attend is $10 per person and dinner will be served. Please RSVP no later than March 14th. If you have any questions or would like to nominate someone or a business please feel free to contact the Chamber.

Who will be the Ayden Business of the Year for 2011?

The Ayden Chamber of Commerce is now seeking nominations for the Ayden Business of the Year Award.

If you wish to nominate an individual for Business of the Year, download and complete this form: Business of the Year Nomination Form or call the Chamber at 252-746-2266.

Forms should be returned to P.O. Box 31, Ayden, N.C. 28513 no later than March 2, 2012.

The award will be the highlight of the annual dinner of the Ayden Chamber of Commerce to be held in March, date to be announced.

Citizen of the Year 2011

Who will be the Ayden Citizen of the Year for 2011?

The Ayden Chamber of Commerce is now seeking nominations for the Ayden Citizen of the Year Award.

The criteria for the award is as follows:

Civic Activities: Nominee must be involved in activities that enhance the livability and the profitability of the Ayden area.

Business Involvement: Nominee must be involved for the good of the community, the creation of new jobs, and work toward a better economic environment.

General Reputation: Nominee must be of such reputation and good character that the Ayden Chamber of Commerce can be proud to present the nominee as a winner and representative of Ayden.

Contribution to the Community: Nominee must generally have contributed for a period of years. The exception is if the nominee demonstrates extraordinary dedication in a year in which achievement of a project would not have been feasible without the assistance of the nominee. A nominee will not be considered for a second awarding of the annual award unless the nominee has provided exemplary service to the community in an overwhelming way in a single year or in successive years.

Residence: The nominee must reside within the Ayden area that is served by Ayden utilities.
